As a spanish I would say that while racism takes different forms in Europe or spain, there is a strong racist political party called VOX. This party speaks against black immigrant from africa or people from latin america, but not against not-nationalist basques. So we do have white privilege here too. Just a fact.
You said that is more “productive” to treat people as individuals, but if I’m not sure it works that well. Some people would never listen or understand. I don’t know what “Karen” is applied, but I’m guessing it is a shortcoming of “your are on the wrong”. And since they are not saying “all white women are Karen” (whatever it means) it is not a generalization, it is just treating one person the way that person have earned (is there a male version of Karen? Is it unisex?).
To clarify: saying “this is sexist” doesn’t mean the person is sexist, just that that person have done something sexist. Saying “you are sexist” doesn’t mean “all men are sexist”, means that the person you are talking to is sexist, not the group that person belongs too (unless they all act the same). So calling someone “Karen”, doesn’t mean “all women are Karen”. It might be earned if it is said because something you do and not something you are. Have you considered that?
I mean:
“Nigger” =Black person in a derogatory way (unless reclaimed by them). Is something you are and can’t stop being.
“Karen” = All white women? Or just the racist ones? Again, not sure. But if it is associated with a behaviour rather than something you are born into, then it is like saying someone is an “ass”. It is something you have done, not are. You can stop being a “karen”.
