Both might apply. In the same way some women are mysoginist, some men are misandrist. And they show it by shooting and killing people. Or by doing terrible things to other men. I've seen a man who was a middle management boss attach a coworker (men) because he wanted to use his luch time to care for his daughter. He insulted him, created problems for him, even rewrote code by him in order to frame him. It was bullying for no reason. And if you listen to the things he said, it was clear that men hated other men just for existing and being happy when he was spiteful.
