It happened to me at work. They were trying to decide who was the nerdiest. I wasn't even in the "contest". So I answered what was supposed to be a "tought one" that the others didn't know. And I said, "OK, since I answered this, I'll make the next one. I'll make it easy, "name the twileck jedi that appears in order 66". I mean, at that time there was merchandise because there wasn't that many female characters and she was a twoleck, aka, sexualised. But none of them knew the answer, so the "context ended there and they never brought any nerd topic competition in my presence. Kind of sad. XD

But I've also met male fans that welcomed me into the hobbie, so there is hope.
