Have you considered that there might be a different reason? I work in IT and offer support to HR. Many times, they prefer younger people because they pay them less money. The same thing applies to certain positions. Since they want to pay less, they choose demographics (people) who they can get away paying less: young, women, and people of color. Bonus point if they are the 3 things. Exceptions are made with nephotism, but it is politically incorrect to say that the white men who made the majority of some departments are there because they are friends/family with some of the higher-ups. Yet, CVs arrive with "recomedations" and subtle reminders that so and so are "very well suited" for the position.
It is also possible that "beta wussies" have learned "corporate talk and network" better than "alpha males uber masculine whatever". She is right that white men have a head start, but if you don't learn the rules of the game, it might not be enough. And corporate game is very rigged.
