I agree about the part of not being impressed. There are some things that are expected from adults like being independent, having earnings to cover your expenses and take care of yourself. This is something that it is also expected from women and non binary people. But it is not enough for a relationship.

I disagree about people having conversations. People without studies can have nice conversations and people with studies can be boring. And then there is the part about connecting with someone, which is always difficult.

The problem is the idea that men should "impress" women instead of connecting with respect as individuals (and equals). Women aren't impressed anymore because they are also working and doing those things because "adulting". But there are men who are also adults and want connection. I don't have such a bad impression of them.

But it is good to say that it is not about being impressed by them, but more about having a relationship as people.

Fiction is the art to tell lies to show truths. Politics is the art to use truths to tell lies.
