I didn't twist your words.
The fact is that while you think that women should incentivice a relationship, you don't consider that men should do the same. I guess that you consider that just by having a job and "providing" that men have done enough. Yet, women do the exact same thing and are expected to go all out of their way to incentivice men?
What you don't see is that now the wife might be the provider. Or both. And women might not be interested in being in a couple and might need to be "incentiviced" to date or marry. Traditional marriage is not the good deal you think it is for women, that is why given options, women chose other kind of marriages or even no marriage at all.
