I don't think that Johnny demographic make him impossible for him to be abused. Abuse could happen to anyone.
Having said that, Johnny showed several red flags that tell a different story. In his case, we have seen images of him drunk and being aggresive at the pirates of the caribean filming. We have hard of his drug problems, we've seen that his old manager who got him several of his better jobs, left him because he abused alcohol and drugs. Yet, after 5 flukes at the box office (Mortdecai was the 5th), he decides to blame Amber for his failing career. Yet, Brad Pitt in similar circunstances with Angelina has no problem getting roles because his films do better.
My point is, there is a pattern of gashlight and lies on Johnny's part. His actions and the information out there is what makes me distrust his version of events, not his demographics.
And yes, demographics add or detract from your vulnerability to abuse. Also, help or dificult your chances to get away with it. But at the end of the day, facts and actions is what we should look for. That is why Johnny lost against the sun. The sun had evidence and showed it, in USA, many evidence was sealed, which is kind of weird. He used fake photos and that doesn't count against him? That is weird as hell.
