I love your idea.
And I see that you have look into the last released stats for tinder, which also help for your analysis.
Someone did an analysis that might help you depurate the algorythm part:
And here are additional data:
https://datingzest.com/tinder-statistics/
I'm afraid that demographics might be an obstacle. If men made 78% of users compared to 21% of women and only 12% of men identify as homosexual, that means that you have aroun 69% of heterosexual men to 21% of heterosexual women. Roughly 3 men for each women. Which is a proportion that is maintained on the right swipes (14% is about a third of the 46% of men right swipes).
It also mentions that people that fill their bio has higher matches.
If I'm allowed a suggestion, you might want to take new pictures that show you practicing your hobbies and things that you enjoy. Also, since they probably use "key words", try to identify which ones that apply to you can you "highlight" in order to increase your chances with the algorythm.
By the way, the "out of your league" is misleading. Nothing prevents you from showing the cool things that you do and are proud of. LEt people decide if they like what they see. If you volunteer at an animal shelter or maybe love to visit museums or you love to hicke, people also value that. Show it in your profile. By the way, people who have a pet in their profile tendo to have more matches too ;)
Don't seel yourself short, I'm sure you have many good qualities. And maybe try a different dating app like meetic, where the proportion of people who wants a relationship is higher than tinder. Tinder favours casual things and one night stands.
