I think that the advice applies to men too. I mean, a woman who call her ex crazy, pay attention to details. The ex could be crazy or the problem might be her. The thing is that there is a stereotype of the "crazy woman" that some abusers take advantage of, while the "crazy man" doesn't exist. But the kind of woman who abuse, would behave in a similar way.
