To what exactly is applied that "simpathising"? To a flat tire? Opening doors? Suredly not to equal wages, since that is still a problem. Neither equal rights, since our body integrity is still in discusion. Hell, there are men saying that women shouldn't vote. Somehow, there are no women saying that men shouldn't vote or enjoy body integrity.
