In some countries both men and women get maternity/paternity leave of equal time. The father is supposed to help the mother after birth since she is recovering. Bot maternal and paternity leave are paid.

Maybe men can't get pregannt or give birth (except transexual men), but they are perfectly able to change nappies, clean, cook, and otherwise care for a baby.

Maybe you should consider that "equal" means equal rights and expectations. As in, if it is Christmas, everyone cooks and cleans. Not all the men enjoy TV while women cook and clean. Or if a children is sick, people ask for the parents, not just the mother. I could go on but it is basically about not having a default where women have to care for the family while the men just "helps". And not having a default where the important career is always the man's. Or where enjoying or not enjoying sex is a personal decision that must be respected and no ones judges you for.

Since it is probably easier for you, think about those times that you have felt frustrated because someone expected things from you just because you are a man. Did it felt unfair? Then there you go, now you know how many women feel about gender expectations, roles and basically unequality.

Fiction is the art to tell lies to show truths. Politics is the art to use truths to tell lies.
