It is interesting that you say this. I mean, this is the description of one of those barriers young women who doesn't want to be homemakers face. What you are describing is women giving up on their dreams, not because they don't want them anymore, but because the obstacles patriarchy (who according you benefits them) put in their way. That is not doing what you want, but settling for what is easier. And I get it, having to work harder and fight all the time is exhausting. But the fact that patriarchy and capitalism have made that choice harder for women, doesn't mean that suddently the choice to stay at home would make the women who are detained happier. Just more frustrated with the life choices offered to them.
