It is nice that you accuse me of hypocrisy when I'm just pointing out why it is a business decision. The censorship in China was also motivated by that, by the way.

I'm going to state it clearly:

Freedom of speech means that you can say what you want without going to jail, not without consequences.

Your only "point" is repeating that Gina was fired for using her free speech. I showed you that she was fired for making them losing a contract. And offered severa counter examples of people in Disney in the same situation that weren't fired. Both from the right and the left. I engaged in your points. But since you have no solid evidence or data to support yours, you wilfully ignore that I have already rebutted them.

Again, google can show you plenty of conservatives and republicans beloved in hollywood. That take part in political campaigns including but not limited, support to second amendment or banning abortion which are really hot topics. And they keep working. Some of them for disney. Because disney is about making money.

Gina Carano was fired for being bad at her job, which includes PR and being likeable. If people stop liking you, you are no longer valid for the job. And if people actively dislike you, which is the case, then you become a liability and get fired. Gina Carano was warned twice. She didn't listened, it was her choice and I support her right to make that choice and say what she wants. But I don't support that others have to put up with something or someone they don't like so she doesn't face the consequences of her words. So if people decide to stop watching her, it is also their right.

I mean, I won't force people to see Expanse no matter how much I would like more than 6 seasons, why should they watch Carano if no longer enjoy seeing her? So Alt-right can use Disney as a platform? Sorry, but no. And their reasons for disliking her are as valid as the people who won't watch her because they don't like "masculinized female characters" or the ones who simply doesn't like star wars. That is what freedom of speech means:

You say what you want and then accept the consequences of your words.

Example: I can say bad things about my boss or my employer. I won't go to jail, but I would likely get fired on the spot for good reason. Also I would be ungrateful since I have a nice boss and employer. The firing would be fair.

Gina offended a huge part of star wars fans, her firing is fair.

If you can't understand such a simple concept, well, then you might want to take a break to think about it.

Fiction is the art to tell lies to show truths. Politics is the art to use truths to tell lies.
