It is relevant because precisely her case was about that. About politicians deciding that her non viable phoetus life was more important than her. Because politicians decided that while the non viable phoetus had a "heart beat", she won't get the life-saving procedure. Acording them that was a "post viability" abortion. Savita is what post-viability abortion looks like.

Because prolifers want to abstract things. They want you to imagine a full formed baby, where there is a phoetus that might not be viable even at a late state of pregnancy. They want that movie scene when the pregnant woman say "I don't care about may life, save the baby!" even if data would tell you that if the woman doesn't survive, the phoetus is likely to die too.

You say that the solution is "easy" and that the life of the woman comes first. I'm pointing out that even when they theoretically say that, in practice, what we see is what happen to Savita, because the woman's health is disregarded.
