Not that really matters. But the fact is that there are plenty of ads with blondes and women using make-up and jewels. Those ads are aimed at women following the "successful/aspirational" model.

If you want to do an analysis on ads, try to look at a few women's magazines. Then some men's magazines. And look at TV, the internet, etc.

The "incompetent man" trope is aimed at conservative women that "Take pride" in being traditional women. Although I saw one that basically said that "there was no excuse to use the dishwasher" that mocked the supposed incompetence of men in that. The message was "men should use the dishwasher too", not that men are incompetent.
