Men do trust others easily. I mean, I've seen men left their drinks unnatended. Got drunk with a stranger they just met. I've seen them take rides with someone they just been introduced. Go to dates without telling their family or go to private places where they would be alone with other person.

At work they stay late with just one coworked without any problem, and have no trouble going into an office where they would be alone with the boss and no one would see what happens inside...

My point is, it is not about being naive. Women are constantly taking protection measures and being critiziced by men for taking them. Because apparently, we shouldn't be "naive" when dealing with other men, but we should trust the man we are currently speaking to "not be unfair" to him.

What is naive is to think that women can solve the problem by just being careful when it is obvious that no one can be on guard all the time and that the most used tactics to rape include drugs and deception.

To put an example you might see yourself in. Do you think a man can avoid being cheated on by just not trusting others? I mean, some men are controlling because they fear this. And yet, that doesn't create a good relationship whit trust, but the opposite. And a low body count doesn't guarantee the she won't cheat if that is what you believe. Or monitoring her phone. The only thing that would work is that she doesn't want to cheat (same with men).

My point is that many women do trust men who later prove to not be as good as the woman thought. They were deceived the same as a man who han been cheated on has. They might have known the man for a long time. In fact, most rapes are done by someone the woman knew. Or some "trusted" family friend. Or even someone from the family. Or from the friend group. Or by someone with authority like a priest or teacher. Rapist earn trust before raping. The naivety is to think that it is easily preventable to be in a situation like that.

Fiction is the art to tell lies to show truths. Politics is the art to use truths to tell lies.
