My experience is the norm. That is why women-only gym were successful. Or why japan has women-only trains. Or why #metoo had so many women joining. That is the point, what I'm telling you is not me being extremely unfortunate, it is just day-to-day being a woman.
As for men's behaviour, it won't change if we keep being silent and putting up with it. It might change if we change our own behaviour. In the past it was common to throw your feces through the window. Or spit in the streets. Marry and have sex with a 12 years old... In some societies canobalism was accepted. But now most people would see those things as disgusting.
Society and behaviour change. It is slow and takes lots of effort, but it can happen. The real question is, why there is such resistance to the simple request of being treated with respect?
