Nice try. Yes, it is relevant. Many women share taste and in the same way that the "trumpers" might like men like you, the feminist might dislike men like you.

As it happens, the "many women" who want more equal relationship and expect reciprocity in relationships is increasing. So yes, it is quite relevant. Specially when you look at young people.

So sure, you can tell young men that young women "want" dominant men and that they would marry men 10 years their senior and that they should ignore what young women are saying they want while at the same time telling women that they "should take responsibility about their happiness and demand nothing of men". But at the end of the day, those women still won't like that kind of men. Maybe they won't demand anything from them, but they won't date them either. Because they don't like them. So can men ignore women when they say what they want from them? sure, but that doesn't mean they would change their preferences. And the men who don't ignore them, would be the ones who would find a partner. The rest would compete for a lower proportion of conservative young woman. And those conservative women? it is quite posible that also want those men to make them happy (spending money on them, that's it).

Fiction is the art to tell lies to show truths. Politics is the art to use truths to tell lies.
