No dear, it is very relevant how educated we are for survivalism. It help us to be able to fend for ourselves and not depend of others that might be abusive or idiots. The fact that you think that women need to please to survive just show how short sighted you are.

To offer a very simple example, thanks to my education I have a well paid job and have been able to buy my house. Since my boyfriend also have a job and a house that he rents, we live comfortably. So your absurd claim about survivalism doesn’t caring for education? Not true.

The housewives are the ones who are having a worse time during the crisis, since they depend on a single income. And if their husbands become unemployed they are in a worse position to help the family survive. Many times they are unable to get an income. So your claim about education being irrelevant is as detached of reality as it can be.

Society is not going to collapse. People like you keep giving ominous warning this since centuries ago, when they said that women getting the vote would destroy families and society. Society is still doing well.

My mother receive that warnings when she was young. She became astrophysicist, she has a career and she is happy. Society still haven’t collapsed. I received the same advice by men like you about all the things that I was supposed to do to please men. I studied , have a job (and most women around me) and society not only not have collapsed, it has improved.

And I’m sure that younger girls and women would keep receiving the same useless advice and warnings to no effect. Because they see how lived their grandmas in the society that you miss so much and don’t want that lives. They prefer the lives their mothers had and even dream of something better.

I think that you are quite out of touch about what women want. To be fair, I also think that you are out of touch about what many men want, since there are plenty of men happier now.

As for the balance, we are far from reaching anything resembling equality. Social changes take time and it would be several generations before we see it. But we are already far better than the regressive model you seem to miss.

No, most of us are no going back because we are perfectly happy with our lives and what we want is more changes in that direction, not going back. It is a simple as that. We don’t regret our choices. The only people who want to get back are the ones who have failed to adapt to changes. And we both know what evolution says about not adapting to changes, right? XD
