No. He abused young and talented woman who could have fame and fortune without him threatening them to kill their careers if they didn't comply. As we have seen with Mira Sorvino, he went as far as to call directors telling them to skip her. Without him interfering, she could have been in more movies.

Of course once some of those women became succesful despite him, they are denouncing him. He didn't help them, he did the opposite. He was an obstacle because they didn't accept his abuse. He retaliated against them. Now those women are fighting back so other young women doens't have to be in the same position.

Weinstein acted abusive, raped and bullied women. That is not simply "foolish", that is cruel and harmful. He is lucky that the law is soft on rich people because he deserves way worse.
