Not necesarily. Life is unfair in all areas. We do know of intelligent people, hardworkers that are passed over at a promotion in favour of someone that is friends with the boss all the time. We do know of poor people that manage money better than someone with rich parents. Yet the ones offered opportunities of investment and internships are the ones with rich parents. I could go on.

As for dating, well, I have a friend that used to date guys that we all thought were... well, not good. It took her some time to meet her actual husband who we instantly liked and knew he was a good person.

In life there is always a part of luck to have this first opportunity. Once you have the opportunity you might put the effort to make it work and take advantage of it. But some people get more opportunities than others just because they are lucky.

It is normal to feel down or even "unworthy", but it is also good to think on your achivements as in "I solved that problem" or "I did that". I mean, many times we don't take credit for things we should. In dating, it usually helps to have a few laughs with friends. After all, dating is weird for everyone.

Fiction is the art to tell lies to show truths. Politics is the art to use truths to tell lies.
