Not really. The ones who doesn't want to be wives or don't have that as a priority, have to face barriers. Young women with different dreams, aren't favored, they are punished for not conforming. Some women doesn't want to just be "provided for", they want to achieve things on their own.

And youth only last for so long, so it is better to have a plan B.
