Look, people is complicated. Women can be insecure too. There is a chance that your date (that wen't well) feels insecure about you sharing a house with a women you were attracted to (Even if you have already told her it didn't work and there is nothing there). Our brains can play games with us, whisper things like "he would leave me the second she smiles at him" or whatever other crappy thoughts that make you feel that it is not going to work.

So I don't know if it would still work (you might try to reasure her by texting her that the other day you had a really good time and keep thinking of her). But regardless this date works or not, there is no reason to not keep trying to date. Maybe you need to meet more people and go on more date until you find someone that can understand that in this economy it is difficult to live on your own and save money is very difficult. Chances are that the ones who would understand are women in a similar situation than you.

But you should consider that if she can't accept that you share a home with other person, then this time it is her who is not good enough for you. I mean, most people are in that situation.
