Of course both partners should work, it is safer, since you double the sources of income. And yes, a couple can outsource some task like cleaning (easier with 2 wages), but some things need to be done in the moment. That is where a fair distribution comes in.

But I don't think that guy has really think the details. He is probably young and haven't really thought about children. He probably doesn't mind to live in a not so clean place and take out frequently. And he might even have flatmates who clean for him without him noticing. That is why he thinks he can outsource, because he is not even aware of the amount of work to be done. hahaha

You seem like someone who can value a partner and I'm sure you'll find one if you want it. Let the "Chads" grow up or end alone.
