Pandemic have give us an insight on what we do when no one is looking. Many people worked in their pajamas and didn't even bother to get dressed. XD

Many women stopped shaving their legs and armpits. Stopped wearing make up, etc. Men stopped shaving or doing other personal "grooming".

The thing is that most people dress and adapt their looks to how they want to be perceived. It is a mix of how we express our personality and the reaction that we would like to have from others.

In my experience, while the male gaze is real, so is the "business appropriate" and several others. At the end of the day, since we can change our clothes, hair styles, makeup and other things about our looks, we can experiment about what make us feel good or comfortable in our own skin.

And I want to say that many people enjoy trying on a new pyjama because they are soft and comfortable. So is not all about being liked, sometimes is about feeling playful. Other times is about feeling powerful.

And no matter what we choose, people would judge us. Some people would like it and some don't. Hell, you can wear oversized Star wars T-shirts and still be someone's fantasy. Or a pyjama.

Maybe the key is just to stop caring about what others see in you and ask yourself what do you see when you look in the mirror.

Fiction is the art to tell lies to show truths. Politics is the art to use truths to tell lies.
