I think those might work better. Also, try a new profile picture that might be considered "meta". I mean, since you like photography, how about a picture of yourself with your camera taking a picture of something? Or maybe with a T-shirt that shows something you like.

That might make you stand out. Proactively show who you are, what you like and what makes you happy. That would draw the attention of people with similar interest.
