Racism is something to be upset about.

The killing is optional. Sure, early game only gave XP for killing things. But DMs were allowed to give XP for interpretation or solving problems. Like puzzles or disarming traps. The video games also reflected this.

But it is telling that you had so many Player options about becoming a sorcerer, druid or any of the 11 original classes, yet people complained about skin color (or sex). That wasn't offered as an option in many video games. Which is sad.
