She still can be charged. If it is proven that she lied, she can be sued.

In my country, the police would do that if the investigation finds that the witness/people who sued fabricated the accusation. And it is quite serious, you can end in jail.

It won't be the first time that a "schemer" finds they are not as clever as they thought and ends in trouble. Just saying.
