So basically, the difference is that Trump is incompetent and didn't have enough support in institutions like the army... and that more than half the population didn't buy his lies like they did with Hitler. To make people "disappear in the night" you need people to carry that order. Trump didn't have that kind of support. I mean, he tried when he fired Comey and had a bad relationship with the CIA. That is the difference.

I think that Trump's failure is not enough to save him from being fascist, but it was enough to save us from him.
