Now, the men and women who have understand that there is no dychotomy, are the ones who end happy. You can be a good partner and fun and interesting. Nothing prevents a "Larry" to have their own interest and life outside of dating. And find happyness that doesn't depend on having a girlfriend. Same for women.

Sometimes when people who has a full life as a single person met, they click and end in a couple. Then, if both understand that neither of them are a "reward" and work to understand un support each other while also trying to keep having lives that made them interesting, the relationship last.

The real hypocrisy is to think that women doesn't deserve having personal likes and dislikes in a partner and that they should put all that aside to be the "reward" of a "nice guy". So why don't you turn it around? Why don't you ask why a successful woman who makes a lot of money and listens to their partner, even when he rambles about obscure sports facts doesn't have the super hot beutiful boy who does everything at home? --> Because boys and men are people and women aren't entitled to one as a "reward".
