Some things have already been invented. Free healthcare, for example. It is less expensive to pay taxes than pay on your own for a cancer treatment. USA is one of the few places where someone refuse a treatment because it is too expensive and they don't want to ruin the family. In Europe, since the treatment is provided by the state, the patient only need to decide if its right for their health.
Free quality education for everyone. It gives you better chances to start a living. And since you won't have expensive loans to pay for, you might even risk creating your own bussiness. Also, better education means that you'll be more resourceful.
The famous living wage: it would allow for people to take risk investing in bussiness, since failing won't mean starving. Sure, some bussiness would fail, but the ones who become successful, might employ other people.
Subsidice investment on renovable energies. Not only improve the environtment, they lower your energy bill leaving free money for other things...
I think that there are many things that could improve living conditions for people. But people usually want the whole system fixed now, with one action. The truth is that any improvement is going to take a lot of time and work and that many initiatives should be taken. And some would work and others won't. And the ones who work might take time until you see the results. Since most people tend to make decisions based on the short term, asking them to plan several years or even decades ahead it difficult.
When trying to convince a coworker to try to save energy, I told him that I did noticed the effect on my energy bill. That while I couldn't see a cleaner air, I could see the money I was saving. And that is the kind of things that work to sell the solution, to look for ways they can see some results in the now. Otherwise it is hard to sell.
On the bright side of things, you don't specifically need to convice white men, you can convince POC and women to work together and once they get some results, you can point at the success cases and the other would follow.
Now they are atrying to emulate the "trumps" because they think they are succesfull, and I guess that is why they get angry at the "liberals" who are "succesfull", in their minds we are "cheating" and taking things from them. Theoretically, you can't be leftist if you are rich. It goes against the rules. Also, there is the part that if you have managed to be succesful by doing something different, that means that they might be mistaken and people doesn't like that.
But I'm optimistic because I think that many people is already trying to change things. So while it would take time and there would be steps back, it is still possible.
