Sure, men can talk about suicide too. I meant when they do talk about suicide or false denounces.
For example: an article about suicide where you ask for help to reduce suicide is perfect. An answer talking about male suicide to an article about rape or gender violence is not, is derailing. In fact, in my country there was a time when it was more or less common to read about a man who killed his wife/ex-wife and then kill himself. That is suicide too. So if you answer to an article about women being murdered by their partners with suicide, that is the image you are conjuring. And it implies it is the woman's fault for, I don't know, not staying with him while he abuses her instead. That is terrible and wrong.
Suicide is a loaded topic, since there is very little information. we do know that women attempt suicide more often, but men tend to be "succesful" more times. But we do know little about reasons. I mean, sometimes we do read that the reason is because they became unemployed or losed their house, but we usually don't know why. Without knowing, it becames more difficult to find solutions.
