The article is good. Is normal that you won’t address each point in detail. I would read some of the others if I had time.
Sometimes I think that the problem is with the social contract and the myths that are asociated to that social contract. Is like the son “simple man”. I think men are sold this idea that if they study hard, they would get a good job. And if you get a good job, you would get a wife, children, be the “master on your house”, enjoy security and some material comodities.
But that is a myth, since social contract is broken and class mobility is difficult, so effort, and working hard is no guarantee. Nothing is sure and never has been. In fact poor people didn’t enjoy the things that TV and traditional people said there was before. For example, in poor families, women did work and take care of the house. But the image that we have is that of the “simple life” that never was that simple or without problems.
When people discover that nothing is for granted, some adapt and others think that they have been “cheated”. Incel seems to be the later. In their minds, they have done their part, so why women didn’t? At no point they stop to think that maybe the “deal” is something that women have never wanted in the first place. And now that women are allowed to chose (as opposed to some father deciding for them) many are chosing other paths. So incels want to get back in time because they (falsely) assume that then, things would be easier.
I guess that thinking in this “magical” past and simple solutions gives them a “dream” that is more palatable than thinking that maybe there is little you can do to improve things and that the social contract is broken and allways have been.
