The fact that for you is political and that you think you should have a say/vote on what happen to others bodies is part of the problem in this discussion.

Imagine a bill that allow women to decide if men related to them by marriage or just dating should be able to decide if that men should have a basectomy and 50% vote but, in doubt, basectomy should be done. Well, basectomy is less risky than pregnancy, and less intrusive and less life changing. And we would never have that discussion because cis male body integrity has never been into question.

What for you is political, for us is our lives. Literally. So the way some men frame this discussion have in fact alienated many women. The irony is that in asking us to “not alienate men”, you are alienating many women and didn’t even realize you are doing it.

So, an honest question, do progressive cis told themselves to not alienate women? people of color? homosexuals? If not, I’m afraid that what you are experiencing is just a level field, being treated just like everyone else. Sure, is unconfortable, but if we have become use to it, so would you. No big deal. ;)

Fiction is the art to tell lies to show truths. Politics is the art to use truths to tell lies.
