The love to claim this while asking for submision and claiming that feminist are evil and irrational. When we point out that they are doing a shitty job protecting us, they get angry and claim that we are selfish and won't appreciate them.

Honestly, if they really wanted to protect women, they would be the first who would want to actually ostracize the rapists. And put them to jail and not try to "understand" them. Or claim it is an exception while saying that false denounces are common when they are not.

But I don't think that most men are going to wake up because most aren't folliwing this case or others. They don't want to in case they realize that someone they know might be like them. And once they realize someone they know and like is a rapist, they would have to decide if they do something. So many choose to not know because that way they get to "keep" the rapist friend and the women in their lives while not feeling guilty and also keep pretending that they protect those women (And reaping the rewards).
