The military who stay in the borders usually protects abstract things like "country", political interest, economy and so on. They might claim it is about women and children, but lets face it, if it was about women and children, they won't be murdering women and children in Palestina. Or in any war. And child soldiers won't exist, rape in war would be unheard, etc.

So if you want to somehow claim that war is women's choice and that we should submit as the "fair reward" for the soldiers that defends other men's interests, well...

And maybe you want to read about how male officers dismiss many of the women who report being beaten by their husbands, or rapes.

Also, the women in the army, police or firefighters, do count? what is their reward since they would still be expected to be "nice and submit" to men?

Sorry, the narrative that men protect sounds good, but in practice doesn't work as well for women as it works for men. As much as it hurts them to hear, they haven't been doing a good job and the number of women who die at the hands of men are a sad proof of that.

And if you want to see the data about women protecting men, you can google the percentage of women in those professions plus the mothers who protect their male children. Some fail? sure. But many times when a death-beat dad is not there, the only one left to take care of the boy is, you guessed, a woman. Interesting how you are quick to give credit to men while denying it to women.
