As for the rest of my coment, it explains many women's experience. Maybe many men too. Some people insist that you need to "find the right way" to say things to persuade others in order to achieve stuff. But sometimes no matter how you say something and when, the other person won't listen, because they don't like what you are saying, so they refuse and pretend to not understand, whatever.

Many times, you don't really need to persuade that person to get what you want, so you can skip the conversation and just do whatever. They would get angry, for sure. And demand you to explain why you have done it without permision. But it is done and the change achieved.

That is my point. Many changes women want, doesn't really require permision or the other person to be happy about it. Women not doing 100% of house chores? Many husbands have been angry about it. But if you stop doing everything, either he does his part or things remain undone. Could he divorce? yes. But as a divorced person, he would have to do 100% which is more than 50%. Could he look for a woman who do 100%? yes, he can even be a "passport bro" or whatever. But the "passport wife" can learn about equality and demand a better distribution. Specially if the other women around are not doing 100%. It is about changing yourself and accepting consequences.

Persuasion is only needed when you need the other person to do something or accept/be happy about something. If it is about your own actions, you don't need persuasion at all.
