The thing is that when you actually look at the men who "reflect and discover", they rarely do that in isolation. Some of them have people (many times women) who did the boring domestic task for them. Like buying and preparing food. Those task are needed to survive but take time from "reflecting and discovering".
And then you have the part about most discoverings being based on previous work from other people. Or made in teams.
And it's just happen, that many times, things like being able to use a computer (that now seems so basic), wouldn't even be possible without women's contributions. And here we are talking about developing code (Ada lovelace), radio frequency (Hedi Lamar), ENIAC (made by a women team) or compilers (Grace Hooper). So as "isolated" a men can be, they are using things provided by women but not giving them credit.
