The word might be "emotionally charged" to you. But it is precise for this context:

"Murder is the unlawful killing of another human without justification or valid excuse"

The footage of the murder where shown in all the world. It might make you uncomfortable, but it is still a murder. The poor men was already subdued, the cop chose to murder him. In Europe, a cop who kills someone, would went to prison unless it can be proven that he had no other choice to save his life. By contrast, that cop was violent beyond everything that is acceptable in any state that respect human rights. Why should we use euphemism? So you feel better?

And yet, you claim it is a "phony narrative". Your ability to ignore facts is astounding, but doesn't help rational discussion. And that is, in essence, why I think that you aren't open to discussion. Because even the very definition of a word, is something you need to change to not feel bad. Because even when they show you proof, offer data and solid rational arguments, you keep repeating crazy stories that have no bear in reality. You aren't challenging my ideas, you are just dismissing them because they are uncomfortable to you. In which reality can you argue that the cop who murdered Floyd did so in self defense? The cop wasn't at risk, Floyd was and the cop knew it. Everyone who looks at the video can see it. And there is a corpse. Yet you keep denying it... what would you have need to call it a murder? The cop using a villain laughter and saying "I hate blacks, so I planned for years something like this. Muhahaha!"? Or would you say then that it must be obviously staged and deny the murder anyway? You might want to imagine a white boy in Floyds place, maybe then you'll understand. A life was taken when there was no need of it (And I certainly hope that you won't consider yourself pro life or the contradiction levels would reach crazy levels)

Fiction is the art to tell lies to show truths. Politics is the art to use truths to tell lies.
