They haven't considered the opportunity cost of their wager. That is, the things that they are giving up in the now for a hipotetical after life. Their premise is that there is an after life. But if not, all you have is this one and they are not living it to the fullest.
It is their choice, but to be fair they should consider that their premises (the existance of an after life) doesn't apply to the atheist.
