This is false. Woimen were considered property of their fathers. Their fathers wanted to make deals with men who were dominant so they gave the women to them in exchange of propesties and to make political deals. It is documented for kings and nobles, but followed the same pattern for the others. The bible also tells how women were given, considered property and never allowed to chose who they wanted to have children with. It was just assumed that they would go along with it. And of course, since it was men who wrote it, they would never explain how many girls married with older men were unhappy. As they rarely payed attention to maternity mortality rates.

That is why now that women can actually chose, they aren't chosing the "dominant" type and we have all those articles. Go ahead, open history books and read about arranged marriages and their reasons.

If women could actually influence how men behave by offering sex, then there would only be women presidents, leaders and so on.
