Umm, “crazy” might mean different things in different context. If someone tell you that “you are crazy” while laughing and in a good way, it is clear that there is a positive meaning.

In this context it is not about men who doesn’t understand women. They know they have made a bad thing, like broking something yours or arriving 1 hour late to a date without a simple whatsup as warning or any other shitty thing that if done to them, would make them scream loudly on rage. Then, when you understably show that you are angry (and you might not even shout, just say that it’s not ok), they say that you are acting “crazy”. IF the thing is really shitty, you migh scream with all he reason. It is perfectly understable that you shout or react badly and they know it would be the case. Yet, they call you crazy as if it was unreasonable of you to expect to be treated with basic respect.

And yes, it is quite clear when they mean “you are not allowed to be angry about this” instead of “I don’t understand you”, because usually they pretend they haven’t done the shitty thing and the part about “crazy” comes when you do show that yes, they have done that.

To sum up, it is a way to get away with being unrespectful asholes and “curiously”, they never do the same shitty things to their male friends, because their male friends would get angry and they won’t be allowed to call them “crazy”. That is why I said it is different.

Although it might be “code” behabiours for man that could attract a similar treatment. Probably some “locker room” things that men are supposed to put up with even if they are shitty. Not sure.

Fiction is the art to tell lies to show truths. Politics is the art to use truths to tell lies.
