Way to miss a point.

That people can put up with something doesn't mean that they have to. They already put up with those insults all the time in their day to day. But if you care about someone, you would like for them to feel comfortable and at ease with you. Sure they can bear to feel uncomfortable, but why would they chose to stay with you, be your friends and support you if you treat them badly?

You might protest all you want, but the confederate flag mean slavery. Maybe not for you, but to most people do mean that because most people who use it uphold slavery and racism. It is the same that happened with the swastika. No one see the swastika as an ancient indian spiritual symbol. No one. We all know what it means now.

And I think that is the real problem with conservatives and libertarian, they believe they can treat people like shit and just because the people they treat like shit is tough and can bear it, that they should put up with it, smile and be nice to them. As if they had any obligation to be tough. And then turn around and ask for the people that they treated like shit to be nice to them, to support them and help them in their fights against capitalism, demographic winter or whatever. They actually believe that they can sprout misogyny and then turn around and marry a woman that should sacrifice for them. Yes, even a feminist woman. Sometimes a black feminist woman. And if women won't date them, they would claim that it is unfair that they are judged by their values. And they call it "cancel culture", because they can't stand that people that they treat badly walk on them. They have always took their support for granted and now that people can choose to simply walk away, cry like babies.

Well, I'm sorry to inform you. We can bear to hear your hate speech, but we are using to identify non trustworthy people. People who are not worth our effort and doesn't deserve our goodwill or help. Speaking plainly, is a simple way to identify asholes. And once you have identify them, why waste your time with asholes when you can surround yourself with good people?

So that is in a nutshell what this essay is about. Use hate speech as a way to identify asholes and cut them from your life, because life is short and is better to surround yourself with respectful and good people. Don't invite asholes into your home or social meetings and you'll be happier ;)
