Well, most people would offer food. But if you know they are allergic to the one you have, you might withold food regardless. And then you have the people that indeed withold food in real life, the ones that speculate with it and have gotten rich doing exactly that. Or the ones that would withhold food because they have just enough to feed their family.
The point is, being really eager to be in a relationship or desperate might not be agood reason to deny a relationship, but it isn't a good reason either for offering one.
I do think that you have good qualities and that you are going to find someone. But changing the angle, showing the good things that you have to offer is more likely to help you do that.
So let's "rephrase it". You can try something like.
"I enjoy cooking and I would love to share recipes and romantic dinners with someone with similar tastes" or "I like to take long walks in the search of the perfect picture and I'd like you to be in it". I know, cheesy. But the point is, describe experiences that you would like to share with that person and make it sound enjoyable (not as cheesy as mine XD). Then people who would like that is more likely that offer you a chance.
I think that if you replace "desperate" for "eager" to be in a relationship, you might get better results.
