Well, while you won't see me in any kind of strike, there are some things that we can do. Small, but everything counts.
1. You can use led lights and turn them off when you aren't at the room. This would lower the bill and waste less electricity.
2. You can try to recycle. Annoying but easy.
3. You can walk more and use public transport (might not be possible depending where you live)
4. You can try to use less air conditioning and only heat the rooms you are in.
5. You can dry your clothes by hanging them.
And all those little things that would mean less energy consumption. Many of them would mean lower bill at the end of the month, so there is a clear advantage even if we don't save the world.
And I suppose that if you have enough money, you can invest in solar panels and windmills.
Also, buying local products when possible reduces fuel spent to transport them.
Many times change start by adding up little things.
