While I agree that twitter was a tool (and still is), some of Musk first measures like charging money to use it, might impact black people more. Since there is a wage/income gap, charging 8$/month might reduce the presence of verified accounts for black people.
Now, I get that some people would want to stay at twitter regardless because that crucial work. But they could also open accounts at more friendly places too. Then, depending on how things turn out, decide to remain on one, the other or both.
It might pay to have a "back-up" plan in case twitter stops to be a good place for conversation or activism.
