While I get your point, I'm not sure it applies the same in Europe. I mean, there is racism here, but it is different from what you describe. To put an example, we do remember our traditions. From dances, to clothes, to traditional recipes. We usually associate that to our birthplace. So Ana Peleteiro is gallega and knows about Galicia's traditions even if she is also black. I mean, race is not culture. That is the things that sounds weird to me. A black person who has grown up in the same place as I, shares culture.

It seems to me that US has its own culture. And that culture changes depending on states. White people in US aren't european. I repeat you don't have european culture, you have US culture. It also seems to me that texans aren't the same than californians. It also seems to me that white supremacism is a culture. You can reclaim a different culture, the mix that Europeans perceive/thought US have. And it might be a way to fight white supremacism. But culture and race are two different things, there are related, but aren't the same. Remember that might help you when you feel like singing, dancing or trying recipes. French cuisine is nothing like italian, swiss, spanish or greek, etc. Funnily enough, most europeans consider english food bland. And anyone can cook all that food regardless of race, black or latin people can cook all that food and it is culturally appropriate for then, since there are black english, french, italian, etc. "white culture" is part of the myth, since what we have is countries and history.

Fiction is the art to tell lies to show truths. Politics is the art to use truths to tell lies.
