Yes. Depending on what are you looking for. If you want casual things, apps that prioritize pictures are better. If you want something more stable, apps that allow to write whatever you want, work better.
Apps that allow blocking and that require a match for message are more useful for people who want something stable. Also improve some people experience, since you won't be receiven messages of people you aren't interested in.
And then, someone asked tinder about all the information they have about her. She discovered that tinder algorythm penalized women who use complex vocabulary and with studies, that they matched older men with younger women and that they discriminated men based on income.
So the features of the app and the fields they require tells you how their model and algorythm is built. One app that ask about favorite book and music might use that in their algorythm. The app that ask about your job, would use the job.
So for me apps that have more fields worked better than apps that only have the "basics". And also apps where I won't get message by people I have swiped left.
