Yes, it is sad that some people need others to be “less” in order to feel important. The people who need that is insecure. It is also condescending toward men to think that men’s self esteem is so low that they need women pretending to be dumb in order to feel good.

I would say that it is a toxic advice. But on the other hand, I have to admit that my grandma proved to me that it works with traditional men. Which lead me to the conclusion that I should avoid said traditional men, but that is another story. hahaha
