You never know what other person wants unless you listen to that person. There are patterns across different groups that define expectations but there is nothing set in stone.

The best approach is to ask. Or to learn about their friends, which usually reflect the expectation someone has.

Then you have the things that are common. Powerful women want respect and the bare minimum of that is to not insult them. It sounds obvius, but from time to time, women go into dates where the men decides that insult them is a good tactic. They might call it "negging" or claim that it is "just a joke" or "just an opinion", but is an insult. Well, that ruins your chances.

Looking for a "perfect formula" that always brings results is what produces frustration, since that doesn't exist. Different women have different tastes and want different things the same way that not all men want the same kind of women. But that is also part of the fun.
